What Next?

I've been thinking about Caleb's blog, and now I wonder. What next? Do I keep it the same? Make it my blog with his story as a part of it? There are no updates to give, prayers to ask for, or new pictures to post of my sweet boy. I love to write, and it's where I can just put down my feelings as the days pass, and as my heart grows heavier. Comment, and let me know what you think. :)

  1. I think it's a good place for you to continue to work through your feelings.

Could you start a completely new blog and leave this one alone? Maybe link up to it on a new blog?

  2. I was also going to suggest linking. it's your blog and your story to tell. I think you should continue to write as much as you feel like. And you never know who you might encourage with Calebs story. :)

  3. I just found your blog through another heart blog. Your sweet Caleb is absolutely beautiful and I am so sorry for your loss--one that I understand all too well.

We lost our son, Luke, in April 2008 when he was 5 1/2 weeks old to HLHS. My husband and I have walked many of the same roads as your family has walked. I hope you take comfort in the fact that you are not alone.

I think the idea of linking to this blog is great, too. We used CaringBridge for updates on Luke as he was alive (we didn't know about his HLHS until after he was born). Once we lost him, we started a blog called Luke's Legacy. It continued our lives without him, but showed how his legacy lives on in us and in all that we do. It has helped me to continue journaling because even almost three years since his passing, he is still a HUGE part of our lives.

I pray that you are feeling peace right now and that you feel Caleb's presence all around you each day!

    Take care,
    Bernie
